Central Sweden » Sjöhistoriska Museet

In this maritime museum you can learn about the attempt by man to conquer the sea. Here are stories about ships, life on board and how shipping influenced the way the world is today. Without it your life would be so much different. Experience our maritime history through a unique collection of objects, art and photos. The maritime museum is a museum for the whole family, beautifully situated near Djurgårdsbrunnsviken. Build a boat in the design shop or go to sea in the playroom! The museum cafe has a fantastic view.

The museum also has a site on Galärvarvet next to the Vasamuseet. Here you will find the museum ships and the boat halls that holds one of the largest collections of original boat types in Europe. Open during summer.
