Stockholm » Skansen

Skansen was founded in 1891 and is home to 150 traditional buildings and farmsteads from earlier times, transported from different parts of Sweden.

Guides in traditional costumes inform you about the Swedish life in former days and the picture is completed with wild and domestic Scandinavian animals. Stroll among the beautiful gardens with flower beds and functional plants, and visit the Museum shop with handicrafts and Swedish design.

Visit also the Museum of Biology, opened in 1893. The museum consists of collections of Scandinavian mammals and birds exhibited in their natural ecological surroundings.
