Olofsfors Ironworks is one of Sweden’s most genuine and best preserved. Only a few places in Sweden have a setting that is so intact. The smelting works, forges, manor house and dwellings are in excellent condition and are open to visitors all year round.
During the summer the area is open every day and several artists and craftsmen have their workshops open. The manor house is now a restaurant and the old school building now houses a café and a shop.
In collaboration with Olofsfors bruksmuseum (Ironworks Museum) you can combine your stay here with a guided tour of the ironworks or have a go at forging, pottery or glass blowing. Events held during the year include the Day of the Ironworks, markets and Lucia celebrations.
Olofsfors Manor House also has conference facilities and is situated half way between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik in Olofsfors, Nordmaling’s municipality.
Here you can enjoy the culturally historic setting, work undisturbed in one of our six conference rooms, eat delicious food and recharge your batteries.
